Take part at the tour through the residential neighborhood Dresden-Gorbitz and explore urban green spaces and their role for climate adaptation.

Adaptation of residential neighbourhoods by green infrastructure:
Urban renewal and green infrastructure development in a neighbourhood of prefabricated housing from the 1970‘s

Route
Walking tour through the district "Dresden-Gorbitz":

  • Urban Renewal „Kräutersiedlung“ (alternative rainwater management, revitalisation of Weidigtbach, provision of private and public green spaces)
  • Public Green Space “Stadtblickpark” (new green space to develop the green space system)
  • “Urban Forest” (alternative green space development to improve micro-climate, rainwater infiltration and biodiversity)    


Survival kit
Participants might like to take some small snack and beverages along, according to personal needs.
Rain gear may be advisable (weather-dependent).

Additional information and costs:
Costs for transport are 5 Euro per person.
